Refund & Credit Policy
How refunds, credit validity and expiry work — every credit is valid for 12 months.

1. Subscription refunds
Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time and remain active until the end of the current billing period. Unused subscription fees are not refunded pro rata except where required by law, but credits already granted remain usable for their full 12-month validity period. 2. Credit purchases
One-time credit packs (for example $10 for 1,000 credits, $100 for 11,000 credits, $500 for 60,000 credits) are charged at the time of purchase and credited to your balance immediately. Unused purchased credits may be refunded within 14 days of purchase provided no credits from that pack have been consumed. 3. Credit validity — 12 months
All purchased credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Credits included with a subscription roll over from month to month and are valid for 12 months from the date they are granted. There are no 30-, 60- or 90-day expiry windows anywhere in this policy: twelve months means twelve months, on every credit, on every plan.
4. Credit consumption order
Credits are consumed on a first-expiring, first-consumed basis (FIFO by expiry date): the credits closest to their expiry date are always drawn down first, regardless of whether they came from a subscription grant or a purchased pack. This maximises the value you retain from every grant and purchase. Your current balance and upcoming expiry dates are visible at all times in the usage dashboard.
5. Credit expiry
Credits that remain unused 12 months after their grant or purchase date expire and are removed from your balance. RootInference sends balance and expiry reminders before any credits expire. 6. Failed requests
Credits are only consumed for successfully completed inference requests. Requests that fail — including provider errors after all failover attempts are exhausted — do not consume credits.
